PROJECT
GEDDES AVENUE
A request we hear all the time is, "Help! I want my track home to feel unique, timeless, and sophisticated." We're often brought in to help transform 1990s/early 2000s construction-grade spaces into something that stands apart from the cookie-cutter designs of the neighborhood. For this home, we gave it a refreshing makeover by repainting the entire interior, updating the stair railings, and refinishing the hardwood floors.
As we moved into the kitchen, our goal was to elevate the space by blending modern, traditional, and cottage styles—infusing more depth, texture, and personality. We refreshed the cabinets with a two-tone paint treatment, complemented by new countertops and a full-height stone slab backsplash for a seamless, polished finish. To draw the eye upward, we added dramatic full-height crown molding that highlights the 10’ shiplap ceiling. To ground the main floor, which has almost 20’ ceilings, we introduced beams to add warmth, charm, and a touch of rustic appeal.
The fireplace was redesigned to sit between two walnut bookshelves, bringing symmetry and modern finishes to balance the grandeur of the space. One of our favorite features of this project is the custom-made walnut floating island countertop, along with the dual custom 9’ tall French barn doors that close off the newly renovated laundry room and office—absolute showstoppers!
